About Sequoia Tree Care
Our Background
At Sequoia tree care we have many years experience in the aboricultural business. Iv worked along side my father at his company for many years and then got head hunted to work for a fantastic company in London that gave me the opportunity to work in a larger more commercial environment. I have been very lucky to work along side some of the best tree surgeons in the country and learn a more in-depth, detailed method of caring and working on trees. I have then decided that i wanted to start my own business closer to home. We are all fully NPTC Qualified, CRB Checked and have all the necessary qualifications for the relevant areas worked within the company and fully insured. We are also fully compliant with all Health and Safety regulations. We also all have CSCS qualifications to work on business sites.
We aim to provide a professional, modern way to help trees thrive in the future using the best aborists and techniques available. We are fully dedicated to protect the surrounding habitats and animals in the process of tree surgery. Working within this industry we realize that customer relations is highly important as it can sometimes be a sensitive situation when tree work is being carried out and work happily with all parties involved.

Felling
Trees are occasionally not salvageable and become dead, dying or dangerous and need to come down. Sometimes they can be in precarious positions and need careful and sensitive dismantling. Here at Sequoia tree care we pride ourselves on care and attention to each individual situation using modern lowering systems to avoid damage to surroundings.
Pollarding
Pollarding is a pruning method that keeps a tree a smaller then they would naturally grow by reducing the limbs into larger junctions and stopping it from outgrowing its surrounding area.
Reductions
Reductions are used to contain the crown (top) of the tree and to keep the tree from outgrowing its surroundings. It is very important to keep the tree looking natural and that the branches are taken back to the correct growth points to promote healthy growth. Stump removal
Once a tree is removed you can be left with a stump that some clients decide to remove and this procedure is done easily with a stump grinder

Crown raising and thinning
In this procedure you remove the lower branches to give the crown (top) of the tree. It increases the distance between the base of the canopy and ground level and is useful in preventing damage to neighboring walls, fences or roofs and for allowing lower light into your garden and property. This is the removal of a portion of smaller branches, usually at the outer crown to produce a uniform density of foliage around an evenly spaced branch structure. It is usually confined to broad-leaved species. Crown thinning does not alter the overall size or shape of the tree.
